How do i check if a web hosting company is legit..

I am worried about a certain web hosting company that i want to do business with and just wanted to find out if they are ways i can go about checking on them, eg.. how reliable and genuine they are..

If they appear untrustworthy, don%26#039;t do business with them. And let me just tell you right now, there are tons of places that sell 5000GB discspace with 2000000GB of bandwith for 15 cents a year. These places are eigher just plain scams, or they severly oversell, meaning if you actually tried to use all of that, the server would crash or run out of room.
