How much would a web design cost, if I wanted the homepage to play short videos, sound clips, and ho

I am trying to shop around for our art class, and we would like to know how much something like this should cost. Also, would the price change if we wanted the company to manage the site, like add pics and sound clips whenver we had new Art Show coverage? Thank you in advance!!

It would depend on where you live. Prices are different all over the country. Metro areas are normally more expensive but might have better quality. If I were you I would check your local phonebook for someone who designs site in your area and get a quote from them.

Where you live doesn%26#039;t matter much, you can contract someone from anywhere.

However the price will have a good range too it, as there are a lot of variables to that. Anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand. You%26#039;d need to spend some time with a developer and work out exactly what you want the site to do, and how you want it to do it. Basically as it is you are asking for a red car, but not specifying anything more then that ;)

Which, unless you know a little bit about what options there are is pretty hard to do. A developer will be able to present the options that are available, ups and downs of each, and then give you a price.

Other Replys:Gosh, this could range from 300 dollars up to 3000 dollars. It really depends on what you want! A simple website I could get done in 6-8 hours. And when you wanted something new added, it would be another %26quot;hours%26quot; worth of work. So let%26#039;s say you find a cheap developer who will work for 40 dollars an hour... (you do the math).

However, if you spent more money now... the web developer could program you a little %26quot;add picture feature%26quot; and %26quot;add sound clips%26quot; and %26quot;add news%26quot; function. They would could update it on your own! While this kind of %26quot;dynamic%26quot; programming will typically cost about 60 dollars an hour (or more)... and would take twice the time.

The first site you describe is called a %26quot;static website%26quot;, one that allows itself to be updated is called a %26quot;dynamic website%26quot;.

One will cost you under a 1000 dollars, the other over a thousand.

Other Replys:Ok this is a no brainer. If your an average art class, just go online and use a template website, one where you can update the pics, etc and brand the website. This should be free, or maybe cost you a few bucks a month for hosting and a domain.

If your a high-end art class, then you%26#039;ll want a customised site, so yeah $3k. It depends on your visitors. Average = go template, really sophisticated = go custom.
