What should I be looking for in a website host ?

I have a few website projects and although I am skilled in programming I am not that well educated on web hosts -- what%26#039;s a good price, key factors in evaluating them.

All 3 sites rely on a large amount of database interaction. Probably similar in many ways to this site.

If you can recommend a good host and informative reasons why, that would be great.

If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months%26#039; time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.

I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.

Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...

They offer hosting of %26quot;unlimited domains%26quot; and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer %26quot;a free Domain Name%26quot; and installing service called %26quot;Fantastico%26quot;. By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer %26quot;Free Website Builder%26quot; as well.

Visit the site to check details.

Domains

Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy.

You would be better with Linux hosting. Php %26amp; MySQL.

Fast with good uptime and live support is the key elements.

Other Replys:http://www.JuicyHosting.com/ is inexpensive, with great 24/7 phone support, also lets you host multiple sites. http://www.LocoDomains.com is also very good

Other Replys:What you should be looking for is Storage Space, Transfer Bandwidth, and Cost. Pretty much all of the webhosts I%26#039;ve seen are 99.9% uptime so that%26#039;s probably not something you need to worry so much about. I recommend http://www.dakotawebhosting.com
