because i saw the advertize of web hosts, they dont say anything like windows server or unix server. Or can i use any host with frontpage?

You can use windows or unix server which support frontpage extensions.

you can host a server that SUPPORTS frontpage ... NEVER use a webhost that runs windows servers ... your just asking to get owned. 99% of vertiual hosting providers have 10% owned boxes.

You might need a host that supports Frontpage Extensions if you plan to use some features of Frontpage, but most people can get by without those features, and last time I checked they were available for UNIX and Windows systems.

Personally I would avoid Frontpage though. The quality of its output is generally rather low. Dreamweaver is better, but nothing is a good substitute for learning HTML and CSS.

Or, if you are already an AOL.com subscriber, host your website on their homepage option or on their Business server. Again, this strategy of selective hosting, is to avail yourself of %26quot;preferential%26quot; treatment between contracting Internet providers and major search engines/directories.
