Under normal conditions, a celeron has far more thruput than any network adaptor ever will. Maybe this is why so many web servers aren%26#039;t the fastest CPU%26#039;s out there (2.0 ghz celeron%26#039;s are quite common).

I would have the Pentium 4 machine host and the Celeron be the client, that should resolve your issues, if it%26#039;s a feasable switch. It would depend on where you live. Prices are different all over the country. Metro areas are normally more expensive but might have better quality. If I were you I would check your local phonebook for someone who designs site in your area and get a quote from them.

I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight on how to distribute Home Office and auto expenses across multiple businesses. I have a web hosting business, three rental properties, and a regular full time job. In the past I deducted my vehicle expenses on the web hosting only, and deducted my home office expense under 1 of the rental properties in Turbo Tax.

Should I split the cost of the Home office expense across the three rental properties and the web hosting evenly or should I only take the deduction against one. For example: If the home office expenses were 4000.00

Maybe they used a Pay to surf program. A program like that redirect the traffic through the same ip. That explains why you%26#039;ve seen the same ip and OS in your logs.

But even if you get 10.000 visitors, by the way they might be real, this kind of traffic is useless as the users are being paid just to open sites, not for evaluating them.

I use webhost4life and couldn%26#039;t be more happy with them. Excellent tools and although tech support is available by Web form only, they are fast to respond, knowlegeable and do a fine job.

You could always try godaddy.com for Windows hosting on the cheap, but I don%26#039;t know many people who praise godaddy.com%26#039;s Web hosting that highly. I%26#039;ve never used them so I can%26#039;t attest to their efficiency.

If you%26#039;re looking for web hosting companies, the one you choose kind of depends on what you want to do. If you%26#039;re putting up a simple site for personal use, you can get cheap hosting for around $10 a month, maybe a little less. And it still usually has lots of features so you won%26#039;t outgrow it too soon.

If you%26#039;re putting a site for a bsuiness, you%26#039;ll want something more robust. Maybe even something that allows multiple sites or more space, like I said, it kind of depends.

I need a web hosting company that has *servers in India*. I asked this question before, didn%26#039;t get the useful answer. Most of the web hosting sites I came across have offices in India, but servers in U.S.

Do you know of any web hosting company that has server in India? I know of two companies rediff and Net4. Rediff is my competitor, so I don%26#039;t want to host there. Net4India is very expensive for what they offer. I would appreciate if you can give me some pointers on this topic.

There are a large number of web site hosting service providers operating from India (accepting fee in INR etc), but most of them have the servers physically located overseas mainly in US and UK. I don%26#039;t know of any hoster in India explicitly stating their web servers are located in India, because it is not considered a selling point.

I don%26#039;t even think Rediff guys host sites on servers located in India, but because you said you are a competitor to Rediff, I assume you know about them better than I know. Good luck with your search, anyway.

Our teacher discussed about the web and web hosting services such as Basic Package, Mid-range Package and Large Enterprise System. I know what Basic Package is but I don%26#039;t get the difference between Mid-range Package and Large Enterprise System. The book stated samples for these two but samples are related. My dad has his own company he has just started. At the moment it has got no business. I will answer part of this, as I have done this and it is legal, if a bit over the line ! Work as a sub-contractor directly for Dad company. You are a sub, but can use his federal and state info. with his premission. This way you can also funnel income into his company and he can pay you as his ; lets say you are a rental company he uses and he pays you income renting whatever you agreed to supply. Its like an S Corp. set up. You don%26#039;t take a salary, instead you lease your truck and tools to the corp. and take the lease payments ( which are non-tax-able) as income. same trick. just be careful if you do begin making too much money to pay your tax%26#039;s thru DAD co. so he won%26#039;t get in a jam... good luck!

I took on a website created in php and now hosted at yahoo. I can (and have) edit the php files to change text, but I want to redesign the tabs and other aspects of the site. Should I do sitebuilder? or someone suggested Joomlah cm? It is a pretty simple site with text info, and form (applications, enquiries) submission (no animation, no registration). For background I am not a web developer, but feel I can handle a wysiwg tool and get addl help when I need it. I have a laptop running XP. When it comes to a CMS, Drupal and Joomla are pretty neck-and-neck these days in terms of popularity. Though my vote would be for Drupal, not just for features but also elegance of design from a software engineering perspective. They just added a lot of really good new features in version 6.0 recently.

For actually working with PHP code, and having a visual tool as well, I recommend a combination of NVU and ActiveState Komodo Edit. Both are free.

I checked with whois.com and saw that my domain name is already expired I don%26#039;t want to renew with my current registrar because they are overpriced, how come I can%26#039;t register/renew my domain name with other registrars if it is already expired?
