I know this has been asked alot of times. And the usual answers is use a proxy software or service. But I don%26#039;t want to do either. I just read somewhere about getting a web hosting account based in US %26amp; then installing a VPN on the web host.
So can some experienced member please guide me in detail on how do I do this and make my IP appear as a US IP address?
Please HELP :(

Either buy a proxy....or get left in the dirt.
You are going to need to know a lot of technical stuff for what you are looking for, so if you are no technically-inclined...have fun!
I think the set up won%26#039;t be to bad but you will encounter problems afterwards that you need help with. Honestly, a Proxy is the best , easiest, and cheapest way to go about it.
I use one and it involves 1 click of the button for a U.S. IP address.

So assuming you have bought the web-hosting account WITH TERMINAL access, you need to check to see which VPN%26#039;s the site supports. I%26#039;ll assume that they will support Checkpoint as it is quite common. So the next step is for you to go download the client from checkpoint.com and install it on your PC. Then read up on what authentication methods are supported on the web site and choose the one you find most convenient. I recommend certificate-based as it is install and forget rather than having to think about it each time you reboot.
That%26#039;s it. Then you can run your own proxy on the remote site and start browsing.
