I have my own email and web hosting, and I need to access my account from both home (a mac) and at work (a PC). Since I really don%26#039;t like webmail interfaces, I end up downloading all my messages twice (at home and at work), sorting out junk mail twice, filing messages twice. . .you get the picture.
My question is--would it be possible to have all my email data on a remote server and simply tap into that from at home and work on a standalone program such as eudora--is that what IMAP does? Will this work in a cross-platform situation? Any input would be GREATLY appreciated. . .
