I have a very reliable web host that I want to use to host my emails, but their control panel is low level. Meanwhile, I have another one that%26#039;s not as reliable but with good cpanel support. I want to use the first for my emails and the other to run the website , but have them all for my one domain name. Is it possible?
Is it possible to have one domain name, but have one host handle emails, and another handle the site?
yes, just need to edit your DNS records at your registar, point the web to the IPaddress of the host you want for web then point the MX record to the IP Address of the other host you want for email

It%26#039;s possible, but both will probably charge you full price.
Other Replys:Yes it is possible. I had one client ask me to do that and it was a royal pain when it came to trying to teach them how to administer their site and email.
It was done through what they call an %26quot;A%26quot; record on their domain name. Adding this record to their name allowed them to have separate email host form their web host. However most hosting accounts also include email services as well and most outside email providers charge a per email account fee. Financially it makes very little sense to pay two companies for service when you can pay one and have the same if not higher level of service for your money.
