If I use frontpage i need to get a host of windows server not unix server? can somebody explain?

because i saw the advertize of web hosts, they dont say anything like windows server or unix server. Or can i use any host with frontpage?

I am going to make a webpage for google adsense. Please help.

PS: Now I see someone bashing FrontPage because it is %26quot;garbage.%26quot; Nothing specific to validate that claim, they just say that it is.

Here%26#039;s the deal: all the web authoring tools act as %26quot;application development software.%26quot; That is, they give you an interface with more or less understandable tools -like word processing, page design, etc., that you already feel %26quot;comfortable%26quot; with. Then, they generate the actual html or javascript that makes up the operating web site. With FrontPage you can see BOTH what YOU are doing -and the code the program is creating.

No question about it, FrontPage sometimes uses way more code than is necessary to make something happen and this can make the code itself difficult to follow. But the other products have quirks of their own as well. For most, FrontPage is the most affordable way to create a functional site that does what you want it to. After you become an expert user, then, maybe look at Dreamweaver and the others.

You don%26#039;t need a Windows server. UNIX is fine.

You might need a host that supports Frontpage Extensions if you plan to use some features of Frontpage, but most people can get by without those features, and last time I checked they were available for UNIX and Windows systems.

Personally I would avoid Frontpage though. The quality of its output is generally rather low. Dreamweaver is better, but nothing is a good substitute for learning HTML and CSS.
